Hello!!Rockyguy@rockyguy wrote: ↑Sun Oct 07, 2018 9:35 pmHello guys,
I am losing hope to get approval on this ceremony too. I am really devastated with the department. Applied since 2016 June and still waiting. After 2nd stage since feb no update. I really don't know whats going on ? I just wrote them a handwritten letter by myself.I don't think changing a solicitor will make any difference. Any suggestions guyg?
I applied in 2016 june on the basis of married to EU Citizen ( EuFam) and got my second stage letter last February 2018. My solicitor wrote few letter since then for an update but no answer from them. I know its really frustrating procedure. God knows whats gonna happen. Thanks for reply broabelekhoh wrote: ↑Sun Oct 07, 2018 10:31 pmHello!!Rockyguy@rockyguy wrote: ↑Sun Oct 07, 2018 9:35 pmHello guys,

My application is not based on EUFAM status and I don't have any sort of fine or traffic offense.2pac4ever wrote: ↑Mon Oct 08, 2018 9:41 amSyjem wrote: ↑Mon Oct 08, 2018 6:55 amSame situation to me. Hello @Syjem, did you also apply as EUFAM? Otherwise, I'd inclined to think that there's something in your application that's holding it up. Possibly a court appearance or a fine, or a traffic offense. Could you please share it with us?
did they tell you in past few weeks that your application process is complete or you file is submitted to the mnister?iceice304 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 02, 2018 1:30 pmFor the initial 3-4 months of this year I was getting phone response that they are awaiting external agency information. Then from May-June onwards they started saying it is in the process, then in August the lady said it been actively worked on, few weeks ago they said I will get update in the post but I didn’t get anything, 2 weeks ago the lady took my phone number and then called me back to tell me that the work is being done and I will hear from them shortly. I asked the question will I be included in the next ceremony and the response was “yes I will”. I have not received anything so I called them today and the lady said “ we are awaiting external agency information”. So back to square one...different responses from the same office.....
Last August, I have received an email from the office saying that my application is at an advanced stage of processingMal111 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 08, 2018 10:25 amdid they tell you in past few weeks that your application process is complete or you file is submitted to the mnister?iceice304 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 02, 2018 1:30 pmFor the initial 3-4 months of this year I was getting phone response that they are awaiting external agency information. syjm same question is for you
I applied since 2016 June bro and got my 2nd stage letter after 2 years last February 2018 since then no progress and same bullshit replies which are generic through emails. Even once i told on phone that "my application has been completed and i will get my notification soon" next week i rang them and a different lady said we are still awaiting some info from an external agency. I don't believe a single word they say now. This system is totally unfair and there is no justice for people who work here really hard and are law abiding citizens. Why someone else can get the approval in 1 year and others are treating like rubbish?I am really devastated and don't know myself what to do.
Searching a users previous posts usually is helpful, posted in this very same topic.
rockyguy wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 1:16 amIts a good idea to see how many of us are EUFAM and from India/Pak region. But only this won't resolve our issues. We should all together lodge some complaint against INIS to higher authorities. Why they can't give us some time frame or why other applications are processed quickly? And what are the straight forward applications? Anyway we will have to hope for next ceremony now if we all are lucky enough.
I am 100 percent agree with Mall they are very badly treating with certain countries Specially India, Pakistan Bangladesh i am also from india i never trust on them whenever sent email they always lies
Hi guys!!2pac4ever wrote: ↑Wed Oct 10, 2018 10:32 pmI doubt the delay is only about your country of origin. A friend of mine from Africa applied as non-EU Stamp 1 and 4, 5 year residency and he’s been waiting for over a year now. My guess is that applications are being delayed because they’re conducting some sort of investigations and checks and only when they’re done, they’ll submit the file to the minister for a decision. If those investigations were already completed then they’d submit to the minister and once a decision is made, the applicant is informed. I don’t think they’ll submit to the minister without completing all the checks/investigations. Of course, what those investigations and checks are remain a mystery to everyone from outside.
In another thread (ireland/irish-citizenship-application-f ... 60466.html), someone mentioned that normally, the approval should come about 4 months after the second stage letter otherwise the applicant has been naughty somewhere.
On the flip side, because the application hasn’t yet been rejected, it means that it’s still pretty much being looked after which is better than a bare rejection I supposed.
Obviously without knowing what’s being done in that department, I’m just speculating. We're all in this so we'd try to be positive about the situation even if it's unfair and it sucks!

Thanks for a brief explanation. My stress is getting higher everyday. I am waiting for the decision since 2016 june. No criminal offence or anything. Just applied through solicitor but its almost 28 months and no response after 2nd stage. 2 days ago i just got an email reply from the department the same thing "
Thank you for your email. It is recognised that all applicants for
citizenship would wish to have a decision on their application without
delay. Your application for naturalisation continues to be processed. If
further documentation and/or clarification of any matter related to your
application is required from you, we will write to you requesting it.
Please Note each application is assessed on an individual basis and the
amount of time gathering all the the necessary information varies from
application to application. While it is not possible to give an exact
timeframe, this office will be in touch as soon as a decision has been
reached.

I don't understand guys how long is gonna be like that? I heard department should make a decision on your application in 30 months maximum or we can hire some barrister for judicial review. Is there anyone who's facing the same time period delay as mine? I am really devastated and i don't think i am gonna get any approval for this ceremony too![]()
