Irish citizenship for Irish spouse living in Northern Ireland

Hi mates, please can someone help me with the following question:

As a naturalised Irish Citizen, living in the Northern Ireland, would my non EU spouse qualify for Irish citizenship after 3 years of living in the Northern Ireland, regardless of the fact that Northern Ireland is in the United Kingdom.
