Does anybody know when CEREMONY 6 is?
Have you got an invitation from cevent/Department of Justice Events?
No, I haven't recieved any invitations from Department of Justice, I got that email 'Please note you have been invited to ceremony 6. Please confirm you received your invite by email.' from Citizenship Helpdesk. I would like to know when will be or was that ceremony 6? I got my approval a half year ago, since then I haven't gotten anything from them.

Hi,
If you have an outlook/hotmail email account. It is worth checking your “other” inbox . This happened to me, all other emails had come through ok in the “Focused” inbox. However the invite to the ceremony was filtered through my “other” inbox. You can also try searching your inbox by typing “citizenship ceremony”on the search panel. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the advise. I checked, but no luck, maybe they did typo mistake when were sending my invitation. I don't know how they do it manually or automatically... Well I will definitely miss this ceremony, coz they haven't replied to my email yet, but I hope we will fix that in the near future=) They keep improving the process, that is really encourage. People from 23 got their citizenship after half a year, not all, but some of them did. So this is really impressive.

Does someone know if they give you a certificate right at the ceremony, if not, how long does it take to receive it? Thanks in advance
They don't.
From two to sixteen weeks (or more), judging by existing data; will probably be longer for people on the 19th as previous ceremonies only took one day (and even then some people only got theirs in 4 months).
But I know people who got their certificate at the ceremony.

From May this year, they're sending it out as a usual procedure; they did it on October ceremony.

They used to do it, but not anymore.

Hi all, although I had my disclosure viewed in July but still I didn't get my approval letter yet.
As per their general correspondence from citizenship office, they mentioned that "some instances, completing the necessary checks can take a considerable period of time".

Does anyone know what does it mean? They never asked me for any additional document and my case is an ordinary case based on points and 5 years residency.

Between, Congratulations to all who will attend Monday and Tuesday in the ceremony and I hope you all enjoy it.

Nobody here will be able to tell you the answer other than stating the obvious; you need to wait. There is no transparency in this entire process.

Me and my partner applied at the exact same time, same acknowledgment letters, same residency, same documented evidence, started and completed the evetting process at exactly the same time and they are invited to the ceremony next week and I’m not. We will never know or understand this process without transparency from the DoJ.

Thanks for the reply. At least it shows I am not the only one. May ask you how long has passed since your disclosure was viewed apprx? I applied in the beginning of 2022 and my disclosure viewed in mid-July.

It was 28 November for both of us. That’s why I was surprised they received an invitation on 12 December, but a good few others did as well with similar November disclosure dates.

BTW, 12 December was the cutoff to pay the €950 and submit the final information to be considered for the ceremony. I rushed to get it done and they received the invite a few days later. Talk about last minute

Don’t wreck your head trying to make sense of something that doesn’t make any.

Hi there, I have more a “logistics” question regarding the ceremony: do they allow to access with travel bags or backpacks?
My mother is visiting Dublin for the first time so we’re spending the night before in the city, however we do not have a place to leave any travel bags… any idea whether we could take them into the convention centre?
Thanks!

Only one adult guest. It says it on the invitation.

My vetting was disclosed in early days of August and still haven't received the approval letter. I hope you and I are invited to the next ceremony which I am hoping would be in March.

Congratulations to the 2022 applicants that received their approval letters on the mail recently, like myself! I hope everyone will hear good news very soon. And thank you all for contributing and sharing information here, it's been really helpful.

Hopefully there will be a ceremony earlier than March/April. Should one of us create a "Upcoming Ceremony in 2024" topic or the admins do that?

Renamed, as ceremony changes are still in full force and keeping stuff here with the rest of data would do the job.

Anyone like to take a bet on when the next ceremony will be? And where?

I’m thinking second half of March. In Killarney.

If it’s first half of March, they’ll have to get their skates on.
We’re already 8 Feb and from what I gather they announce it a good month in advance.
I’d love to accompany my husband (he’s the wannabe citizen) but I’m working full time and we’re abroad so it would be great to have a bit of notice. No guarantees of course he’ll even get invited to the next ceremony but here’s hoping.

Historically the March ceremony has been in the first half of the month. It’s anyone’s guess where this time, but I’m hoping for Killarney as it’s personally much easier for me.

It’s also not uncommon for them to announce it only a few weeks beforehand. There is very little (outward) consideration for anyone’s personal planning when it comes to this entire process. They do expect you to drop everything or you’ll just have to continue to wait should you be unavailable.

It’s quite ridiculous that I will have been approved since December and if there’s a ceremony in March, it will be May or June before I’ll have a passport in hand. I’ll be so glad when it’s over.

That's great news for everyone waiting. This caught my eye on that linked page: "At the ceremony candidates will take an oath of fidelity to the nation, receive their certificate of naturalisation and thereby become Irish citizens." Is this new wording on these next ceremony announcements? I believe certificates used to be handed out at the ceremonies, so maybe this is just out-of-date wording on a templated announcement. I no longer get my hopes up on anything related to this process. Saves the inevitable disappointment.
