Job not mentioned in Appendix J

Hi

I have a Masters degree and therefore I am on RQF level 6 and above on the appendix J. Recently I am offered a job with a salary of 21k per annum. The job itself is not mentioned on the appendix J.

Now I understand the new entrant salary for me would be 20,800K per annum or higher based on the appendix J. But my confusion remains, what SOC code would my employer use for me if the job is not in appendix J, as my employer is asking me to tell them the code.

It is your employer's responsibility to allocate the SOC. The salary depends on the soc.

Have you looked at appendix k??
