Leaving UK While Waiting for Spouse Visa

Hello!

I'm an American currently waiting for my Spouse Visa. I applied in February 2018 and originally thought the process would take 8 weeks, but now I am on month 4 of waiting. I am going back home to the states in August for 2 weeks to celebrate our marriage and I'm wondering if leaving and returning to the UK will affect my visa my at all. Will I even be allowed back in or will it cancel my visa if I leave. If anyone has went through anything like this/has any information that would be amazing. Thank you for helping during a very stressful time.

Yes, your application will be considered withdrawn and you lose your fee.
