Lost BRP replacement

Post by ramkam » Thu Oct 13, 2022 1:48 pm

Dear Community,

I lost my ILR BRP in July 2022. I reported the loss and immediately proceeded with applying for a replacement card. We submitted our documents via IDV App on 9th August 2022. It is now close to 10 weeks since then and there has been no news on the application from UKVI. Do people have any suggestions on what can be done? What are the current processing times for applications like these? Of course, no priority applications were available for this route.

Regards,
ramkam

Thank you. Somehow I thought the applicable timeline for ILR replacements was 8 weeks (while the 6 months timeline was applicable to new ILR applications). Any idea when are people hearing back on average? I am sure there is a wide range. Regards, ramkam

ILR status is permanent and it does NOT expire, only the card does. A BRP replacement application is NOT an immigration application or a new ILR application. BRP replacement can take up to 6 months as advised
