May Common Sense Prevail

Post by grymsdyke » Thu Sep 05, 2019 3:16 pm

Good afternoon everyone. I have registered here so that I can add a few comments and observations to this group of a general nature.
I know a significant amount about the process of UKVCAS and the nuances associated with it. Let me start by saying it is very important that you, any of you, applying for any visa type take a deep breath and before criticising the system, the company, the prices, the delay, first examine everything that you have done up to now.
Simple checks first.
Have you gone through the following check list?
Is.....
Your name spelled right. First - Middle - Last
Your date of birth right.
Your date of birth in the correct format
Your address with postcode right.
Your email address right.

Now check exactly what it is you are setting out to do.
Have you filled out the right form number?
Have you submitted the correct amount in payment?
Have you fully completed the upload of any biometrics, documents etc and had an acknowledgement of this fact?

Furthermore in my opinion please do not presume that any statement made by any member of this forum is technically correct unless they have made that assertion in the statement. It still may contain grammatical errors.

No one as far as I am aware is out to cheat, deceive, lie or delay your application in any way at all. The aim of the service is to help progress your application to the correct government department for them to arrive at a decision in a timely manner and pass that decision back to you.

Please be fair and open minded in all the comments here. It annoys me that accusations seem to fly without justification. I am happy to answer any questions on my post.

I think your all above mentioned instructions the members have already been repeatedly implementing. But without doubt there are a lot of uniquely none-resolved errors occurring in that online system where members can't do anything rather to blame them. Very good to know that you are here to help others queries but preferably best would be that you share your own real experience.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Thanks for your input.
Your checklist indeed sounds reasonable. Simple checks such as this will go a long way in keeping the process smooth and within the service standard.

Although, you do understand people pay a lot of money for these applications and hence they are right to whinge when a promised service standard is not kept, let alone with no updates whatsoever?

I am curious on what prompted you to make this post other than just being annoyed at people for being rightly irritated at a faceless archaic bureaucracy.
