Re: Which is faster for approval- Spouse of Irish National or on own 6+ yrs

by far applying as a spouse of irish citizen is the fastest route. but on the flip side, if her personal circumstances change half way through the process (for instance you’re no longer together, which i don’t hope of course) then it will have a massive impact on her application.

Re: Pending naturalisation applications petition

I doubt this will lead to anything substantial as you don’t know why your application is being held up. Claiming that INIS is discriminating against applications from certain nationalities is also well off the mark (I am not defending them nor speaking on their behalf of course). If you look at the ...

Re: Citizenship 2 stage latter?

it depends on so many things but in a nutshell there’s no correct answer to that question. The possible factors are: the basis of your application, your immigration history, anything that will show that you’re not of good character such as court appearance, fine, traffic offence and so on. the quick...

Re: Citizenship 2 stage latter?

that's not the 2nd stage. your application is still at the first step by the look of it.
in the second stage, they clearly stated that your application has been initially processed and is being moved to the second stage of the processing.

Re: Citizenship - can you leave while waiting

Brilliant response as usual @max307, a friend of mine is in a slightly similar situation as he has been working here for the past 7 years so is clearly eligible for the citizenship. But now he wants to move to France permanently and wanted to know if he could apply and move abroad. So, essentially ...

Re: Meaning of letter

That email tells me that your application hasn't passed the second stage yet I'm afraid. Given your timeline, if I were you I should be worry. You still have some time to go by the look of it. Although they're some straightforward cases of course. All you can do now is just to wait as contacting th...

Re: Return of Original passport

If you read here http://inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/WP16000022 in section 7, it's clearly stated that if you need your passport that quickly, you should apply when you come back from your trip. Applying now and requesting your passport straight away is clearly not advisable at all.

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

By Indian origin, I meant Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi married to Latvian/Lithuanian/Romanian, as these cases have been on news lately. Also, it appears that after brexit people mainly from the Indian subcontinent (who are now British National) are using Ireland as a backdoor by exercising EU treat...

Re: Meaning of letter

This means that your application hasn't passed the second stage yet. So they're still performing checks and only after that, the will send you a letter clearly informing you that your application has now been initially assessed. This is the second stage letter and usually at that stage, they submit...

can you confirm when did you sent your bank draft? Draft sent on 2nd Nov and delivered 5th Nov As I said earlier, they're still issuing invitations so there's still some time. I'm hoping to get mine next week given that I sent the draft on Oct 30. People who sent on Oct 24 got theirs so I guess the...

Re: Join family visa appeal

It turns out he didn't declare any of his Uk immigration in the application because they didn't ask specifically for it, so that was definitely a big mistake. He was definitely not hiding anything from the Irish authorities it just didn't occur to him to add any UK immigration documentation to our ...

Re: delay in citizenship application - applied in 2016

The best option is to seek legal advice. I applied in Aug 2016 and my application was not moving a bit ever since. I met a solicitor and after his letters to citizenship my application has been submitted to minister and now I am waiting for decision. I made a number of calls but to no avail. I even...

Re: Join family visa appeal

the big question here is whether you've disclosed your previous immigration history to the Irish authorities. If you had an issue in the UK then will be aware of that. Any attempt to hide anything will come back to haunt you. As I said in other threads, when applying for any Irish visa, it is always...
