MN1 application under processing and travel and return choices

Good day and this board has been so helpful over the years, thank you for all the help.

I have recently received ILR and a applied for both of my UK born children for registration using MN1 form.

One of my kids has BRP card ( 1 year old child), my other child doesn’t as she was just born before I got my ILR (!2months old)

I would like to travel with my family back home and the options possible to travel without BRP.

1. Can we travel then once registration is done apply for UK passport in my home country (outside of UK)?

2. Travel, then apply for a visit visa to UK for the newborn ?

1. Yes. Depending on your home country, a passport can take 16 weeks or more. The certificate will be posted to your UK home address and you will need this to submit with a passport application.

2. No, if she is British, she cannot apply for a visitor visa as a British citizen cannot be subject to immigration control and restrictions with a visa.

Once she is British, you can apply for certificate of entitlement to right of abode, it costs almost £400, in newborns foreign pasaport. This is provided your home country allows dual nationality.

Does the baby have a foreign passport??

Alternatively,I suggest wait for the registration and apply for brirish passports before travelling using the one week fast track service

We will get a travel document then a passport once we are home
