Applying for British Citizen for a child under 18 at the Home Secretary's Discretion. Child born in the EU, Parents are EEA citizen with DCPR.
The application is complete but unsure about the documents to send. Do you need to provide evidence of residency such as bills / bank statements?
In the list of documents at the end of application these two points are confusing:
1. Parent's foreign (non-EU) passport or alternative evidence of residence
2. If [APPLICANT] told us that their parent is settled in the UK then you must provide us evidence of their settled status. This could include a BRP, a letter from the Home Office, an endorsement in their passport or another document certifying permanent residence.
Questions:
1. The parents are EEA citizen so they don't have non-EU passports. What are the alternative evidences and how far back do the evidences need to go? Do they need to be provided for the child too?
2. I am assuming point 1 still applies even if you provide the DCPRs, correct?
Thanks in advance
