6 months payslips enquiry

I worked 2 months part time and I was claiming housing benefit
And I worked 4 months full time.
If I add those 2 months to 4 months I worked full time
Then divide them by 6 then x 12 = I ll be over £ 18600
Would the benefit I claimed effect my wife application coz she has been refused her visa extension she returned back home and now we are about to make a new application !!
Or shall I just not risk it wait another 2 months and applied with 6 months full time payslips thx
