Moving from Student to ILR ... Work status?

Hello there,

I have been a student for the last 10 years-lawful residence and now intend to apply for ILR. My present student Visa expires in Nov 2011. I am due to drop my ILR application before that. So, my question is, what is my right to work during the time my student visa expires and while i am waiting for my ILR to come through? 1. Am i eligible to work on student basis or 2. can i work full-time? 3. Or am i not eligible to work at all?
What answer should i give when my employer asks me to prove my status? WHen they enquire with the employer checking service, what is the possible reply they get?
