Naturalisation Application Process Queries

Thanks all for you support so far to reach ILR milestone. I and my 6 years old child received my ILR on 6th Feb 2020 through 5 years PBS dependant route. Please help me to clarify my naturalisation queries.

1. My spouse is holding British citizenship(through T2 ICT 5 years route) . I assume I can apply naturalisation straight away and don't need to wait 1 year. Am I right?

2. Please share the application form to apply naturalisation for myself and my child.

3. Please let me know the list of required documentation to submit.

4. Is there any requirement to meet before I apply naturalisation?

Useful to do your own research initially as these questions are answered almost daily in the forum and covered in the official guides and websites!!!

1. Immediately if you meet the 3 year residence and absence requirements.


2. Form AN for adults and form MN1 for children.

3. The online process will tell you what is required, it is minimal documents.

4. Absence and physically present exactly 3 years ago on the date you apply.

5. It can take anywhere between 2 months and 6 months, sometimes longer. Fees are £1330 for adults and £1012 for children plus biometric fee plus ukcvas service fee if no free appointments are available.

Can you please help for the below question?

1. Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad? I answered Yes and giving my ILR application details.
Enter your reference number if known: Do I need to give BRP number or my payment reference number?

2. Also Do I need to give all the previous application details? I have only the previous BRP cards details, can I enter that?

This means "all" applications, not just ILR - provide all details as far as you got them or remember - estimated dates are ok.

I have entered UK under PBS Dependant visa on 6th Dec 2014 through which I got ILR. Before this period I was in UK between 11 sep 2010 and aug 2013 under Tier2 ICT visa.

In the above scenario, can you please help me with the below queries?

1. When did you first arrive in the UK?
Do I need to give 6 Dec 2014 or 11 Sep 2010.
Note: I gave 6 Dec 2014 in my ILR application.


2. I provided all my previous application details submitted to home office from Dec 2014. I dont have application details between 2010 and 2013 whereas I was in T2 ICT visa. Can I just provide the Visa start date and end details for this period?

1. You are not repeating the ILR rules process. State the date in 2010.

2. You need to state all information to the best of your knowledge.
