Naturalisation form (partner dependent)

Post by Civa » Tue Jan 21, 2025 11:32 am

Hi all,
I was just wondering which form should have we used to apply for my wife's naturalisation. I was tier 2 for 5 years then ILR for a year, then British Citizen. She was tier 2 dependent into ILR into application for naturalisation.

I just realised that there are two links:

https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-in ... -to-remain

https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-sp ... pplication

Second come when you use dependent in the search, unfortunately.

How problematic is if we ended up using wrong form to submit the documents? Could anything be done after the document submission?

Thank you for your help,

There is only one form, regardless of visa or ILR route.

Both links take you to the same form, Form AN (adult naturalisation)
Char (CR001 not Casa)
In life you cannot press the Backspace button!!

Thank you CR001,
I just had a mini heart attack realising that we might have used an incorrect link. Good to know that there is only one form for adult naturalisation. Thank you!

There is no concept for partner or dependent for naturalisation - the form adjusts when you input your circumstances. therefore no worries.
All advice comes from personal research and experience and should not be regarded as professional opinion.
