Naturalization Application - Travelling abroad after submission

Hi ,

Current VISA: ILR
Spouse : British Citizen
Planning to submit : Naturalisation Application for myself and my son [ Both ILR ]
Days outside UK between IRL and Naturalisation application submission : Zero
Planned travel duration 20 days after biometric

I myself and my wife ( citizen ) are planning to travel for 20 days after submitting Naturalisation application and Biometric appointment .

Please suggest if there is any issue in case of traveling abroad with Naturalisation application is under processing.

What if the decision comes if i am abroad . As i have ILR hope there is no issue for me to reenter UK .

Appreciate if you can clarify this as per the latest guidelines.

You are free to travel.

Highly unlikely you get a decision in such a short timeframe of 20 days.

You are also only British once you attend the ceremony. Not from approval letter/email date!

Getting a decision while abroad is fine, you still need to book and attend the ceremony. With ILR you won't have any issues with reentering the UK, maybe just a few questions, like how long have you been away etc
