Naturalization - English language requirement

Post by tim12345 » Sun Nov 27, 2016 9:32 pm

My wife is currently completing her application for naturalization. I am a British citizen and we were married in 2010.

We have a query in regard to the English language requirement and if anyone could help we would both really appreciate it.

She completed the Life in the UK test so we have that.

However, she completed her IELTS exam for ILR before 2013 so my understanding is that we cannot use that now.

In 2015 she graduated from the Open University with a BA in modern languages - French and English.
We have a letter from the Open University stating which courses she completed and that instruction/teaching was in English.
We can't get a letter from NARIC as they only deal with overseas qualifications.
Would the Open University degree be acceptable? Would we need to include anything else other than the letter from the Open University?
I know that might seem like an obvious question but we wondered whether the fact that it is distance learning may affect thing.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

Her UK degree should suffice.

Anybody have issues when they submitted only their transcript to NARIC and not the diploma?

This is not a general discussion or question asking topic. Continue in one of your own topics please.
