Hi

I have been in UK since 2008 in Tier 2 ICT and currently in the process of applying for an ILR. My dependent is in Tier2 Dependent who has been with me for 2 years and is also eligible for ILR. We are planning to apply together. Recently, I heard that the dependent will need to take another additional test apart from Life in UK to test their English listening and communication skills.

My wife is working here for an UK based company and would like to know if she will still need to take this second test ? Kindly advice. Thanks...

Unless she is from an English speaking country (USA, Australia, etc), she will need to meet the English Language level B1 requirement and have a test certificate.
