I am a skilled tier 2 general dependent spouse visa holder My husband is British national and kids as well.
I got three years extension in March 2023 because I was still short of few months of ILR 5 years route as dependent also I need to do life in the UK test and English test as well.
I have visa now upto march 2026 because we paid for three years even I was few months away of ILR requirement.
Today there are few announcements about salary threshold change to £38700 does that apply to my husband as well when he will apply my ILR ?
When he applied by extension Home Office didn't ask any question about his salary and he definitely doesn't earn £38700 for now will it affect me?

This announcement (not a rule as yet) does NOT apply to you as there is NO financial requirement (salary) for a Skilled Worker Dependent that has to be met!!

Not until it becomes a rule we won't know what and what will apply (though hardly any changes were retroactive) Watch out, the forum will be kept updated of developments.

Regarding the income to meet the threshold (£38,700) to be eligible for the Skilled work visa: Can we add our car allowance/ benefit (taxed) to the base salary??

We don't know? It'll be clearer in spring.
