Newborn travel without visa

Post by monushh » Wed Jun 17, 2020 10:37 am

Hello all,

I am trying to find out if its legally allowed for the infants/ newborns to travel with just their passports(Indian) and no visa? Obviously, their parents are going to accompany, who hold Indian passports and valid BRPs.

I am not sure if I have raised this question on the correct channel here, but if not please feel free to move it to the correct one?

Thank you.

No, the child needs a visa. They will not be able to get on a plane if they do not have a valid UK visa.

Irrelevant. EACH person flying must have a valid UK visa.

Thank you for the reply. Sorry, I meant, while travelling from the UK to India(do we need a visa for the infants)? We are planning to apply the visa from India on return.

The child does not need a visa to LEAVE the UK.
