Non Eu -parent of British citizen

Hello everyone,
Please board members i need some clarification.
As a parent of British citizen with leave to remain can i apply for Eu settle and pre-settle scheme.
I went through the requirements.
1- primary carer of British citizen
2- holder of biometric permanent residence.
I will be more than happy if i get more information about the scheme please

What category of Leave to Remain do you have currently? How old is the British citizen?

The EU Settlement scheme is for
non-British EEA citizens and their family members OR;
family members of British citizens who have exercised treaty rights in another EEA member-state with their family members who are returning to the UK.

I'm on 10yrs route but i have done my first extention and due for another one June 2020.
My bristish child is 4yrs and will be 5yrs in December.
I called the Eu settle and pre-settle scheme department, the lady i spoke with said i can apply for the scheme after checking my details on system.
She promised to send the application form to me.
