don't think anyone knows but expect it to be at least a Master degree - I think the only way is to get NARIC to answer that question - it would be great if you could post the answer here.

Good Luck.

Great! Afzalasm, maybe you also know, if the HSMP work permit allows to work in other EU countries?

NO it does not - the HSMP is a UK specific work/self employment visa which explicitly requires you to make the 'UK your home'. To work in other EU countries without requiring work authorisation you need to be a:

1. A national of an EU member state

2. The dependent of an EU national exercising treaty rights e.g. wife of a British citizen working in Belgium where wife is say a pakistani national.

3. The dependent of a person who has authority to reside and work in the relevant EU member state e.g. spouse of an Irish citizen can work in Ireland without needing a WP.

Kayalami is 100% correct, UK HSMP Or Work Permit only allow you to work in UK only which is England, Scotland and Ireland.

Not Ireland, its NORTHERN IRELAND. You need an IRISH WP to work in Ireland.

I have just received the reply from NARIC stating that my Russian 'Kandidat nauk' diploma is comparable with British PhD.
However, they considered my medical doctor diploma to be comparable only to a Bachelor degree although it is a 6 year study course.

Afzalasm,

would you happen to know the equivalent of Nigerian Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate Degrees to the UK ones.

Are they equivalent?

Many thanks.
