I decide to leave my country by HSMP(or another skill programm). Does anybody knows where audio-video-TV-film-postproduction specialist needed. Any answers will be helpfull. Thank you. |

I tend to agree somewhat with ajay...while life in general here is definitely NOT hell (I live in kuwait)...working life can be A TORTURE especially if you are a professional. You need to have tons of luck to get into a progressive company in most of the ME (you can count these companies with the fingers of your right hand). Bahrain and dubai are supposed to be OK. |
| panky12345 Member Member # 7324 | Posted January 27, 2004 03:28 PM subbu, i 110% agree with you. u can count the good groups on ur fingers.... i was lucky that my first stint was with Jumbo Group in DXB. as for workload, definitely the workload was terrible in DXB, but life in Muscat seems to be much more relaxed and easy. never been to kuwait, so cant tell much abt that. |

There are 35000 British expats and even more Americans working in Saudi Arabia. All of these expats are extremely happy to be in Saudi Arabia as they get high salaries. I have lived in Saudi Arabia. I am saying this from my personal experience. Saudi Arabia is better than UAE but UAE might have more jobs in your field. Any way, its your choice. If you want to save money then ME is good. You guys deny the fact that Western countries are better than South Asian ones. Our people stand outside the embassies of these countries just for a visa and yet refuse to accept these countries better than ours. I removed the sentence because I did not want anyone to stray from the topic. I still support my statement. Prove me wrong. Prove that South Asia is better than Western countries. Reading the above comments, it appears you are from Pakistan - an obvious reason you have been hitting at your neighbours. Now that we know you are a British Citizen, I cant stop asking a question.........Originally, did you not have to first stand in the queue for a entry Visa... or did you get in by other means??? Your first post on this forum way back in September 2003 had "0" (Read ZERO) responses. You surely are still waiting on here looking for responses. Throwing your toys wont result in any. Guys like Joseph above (I could list many more names) have been providing sincere, useful and more importantly FREE advice to hundreds of people on here. Most people here talking abt SA are the ones who have never been there. Its a heaven for professionals if you are careful before signing the contract. Always insist on tax-free pay + accomodation + medical. I must say that South Asians (esp. Bangladeshis) are the lowest paid people in ME. Rapists and killers receive severe punishments and panky (above) seems to dislike that. Are you a rapist or killer panky? Regarding sponsor being mean, I dont have to go far. Everyone knows Indian bodyshops in America are the meanest sponsors who subject their fellow Indians to extortion and humiliation just for money. |

The quality of cable TV in Saudi Arabia is far better than in any South Asian hole. (I feel sorry for a grown up man watching soaps.) You dont becoming a rapist or a killer untill you commit the crime. If you dont commit any such crime, yu can live happily in SA. FYI I have lived in SA and loved my time there. Its one of the most peaceful countries in the world for people who are not into drinking. Its definitely a no-go for perverts like you.
