hsmphopeful Member Member # 7477 | Posted February 20, 2004 06:41 AM Greetings A question for those who have paid their HSMP fee using a credit card: is the fee charged by the payment processing service on the (next)day it is received at Heavens Walk or by the Work Permits (UK) when it is assigned to a case worker (weeks after receipt)? Many thanks |
JayGee Member Member # 7446 | Posted February 20, 2004 07:37 AM The fee gets debited by the Payment Team in Doncaster. Typically they would try to debit your card the same day or next day per receipt of application. |
hsmphopeful Member Member # 7477 | Posted February 20, 2004 11:31 AM Thanks JayGee! :-) |
hsmphopeful Member Member # 7477 | Posted February 20, 2004 02:05 PM So yes; they just charged my card today (and the app was delivered yesterday). So the clock's ticking now :-) |
DarikUSA Junior Member Member # 7612 | Posted February 20, 2004 03:55 PM Yes they charged mine the same day. However the entry came as Work Permits(UK) Sheffield. I sent my application to Doncaster |
Melyni Junior Member Member # 7562 | Posted February 25, 2004 03:18 PM Just thought I'd let you know my experience. My application package was received in Doncaster on 20 Feb. Today, my credit card was charged (24 Feb). So, it seems like the charge isn't immediate, but not long after receipt. Oh...and the charge indicates it comes from the Home Office, Sheffield. Must be where all the charges (in country and out...my app came from the States) get recorded. |
hsmphopeful Member Member # 7477 | Posted February 25, 2004 03:30 PM Melyni, This is correct. Credit card charges are applied to the ledger 3 days later, and mine also was charged on Feb 20 and funds debited Feb 24! Lets keep in touch to see what happens to our apps :-) |
Melyni Junior Member Member # 7562 | Posted February 25, 2004 03:33 PM Will do. From where are you applying? |
hsmphopeful Member Member # 7477 | Posted February 25, 2004 03:59 PM Out of UK although I have business/personal connections in UK and had a work permit in past (in 2000)... |
tech Junior Member Member # 7402 | Posted February 25, 2004 04:02 PM Melyni. I am also applying from USA.Do you have pending job offer in UK and Start date ? |
Melyni Junior Member Member # 7562 | Posted February 25, 2004 04:07 PM Tech - While, I have interviewed, the req for "my" position doesn't exist yet. I'll hear in April. That's for a "transfer" to our London ops. If that doesn't work out, I'll cast a wider net. |
