I will appreciate it very much if somoene can address a couple of these ILR/PR related questions.

1-Can ILR applications still be made 1 month prior to the completion of a 4 years term on a WP?
2-Is it possible to request for an enumerated listing of documentation that will be required for making the ILR application?
3-If you have brought over a dependent from overseas (wife) who has been in the UK for barely a year, is she eligible for an ILR/PR as well?
4-Would the ILR application need to be made individually/separately for a WP Holder and his dependant (wife)? Or is it that within the main application form, one can file in the name of his dependant?
5-The application processing fee of £250 (for in person applications), is this fee per person?

Thanks and Regards.

1. 4 weeks prior to completion of 4 years
2. Bare minimum - 3-4 years tax returns, bank statements, employer letter, Salary slips, original WP documents, passport, photographs, house docs, utility bills for address ...
3. Yes
4. Within the main application
5. Per application

Cheers

Dip:
Much appreciate your reply.

Just one more thing to clarify .... so effectively if the wife (a WP holder dependent) can be included within the main application, I am looking at paying £250 (and not £250 x 2) for the both of us?

Regards

Yup you are right.

Also pls note that the fees are lower if you post the application.

the documents listed by dip will not generally require execept latest bank statement and employer's letter. So follow general rule - 'Dont give anything unless specifically asked for.'

And you really dont need to consult on ILR unless you have some special case. The relevant form is clear, unambiguos in its requirements, procedures and process. Everything is in within the form - just get one and you will find answers to all possible questions in a regular / normal ILR case.

Yana,

In my own case I submitted my PP and app form + £250. In terms of questions, they only asked me my net worth, employer name and whether I was carrying an employer letter. They neither demanded not took any document as proof.

In hindsight, I shouldn't have carried anything other than the form, PP & ££ although I was carrying quite a lot of documents. With due respect to your comments, I would regardless suggest to anyone asking me that they be prepared with all of my listed documents as a bare minimum to ensure there are no surprises and that they don't have to revisit in case of queries, however clear their ILR case may be.
