| Elfa Member Member # 5 | Posted November 29, 2001 10:48 AM Hi If you are on a detache work permit you can not get permanent residence in France since the detache is only valid for up to 22 months total. If you are on a full French work permit and Long-Stay Visa then it may be possible to gain permanent residence in France after several years of legal residence in France. hope this helps!
