Hi,

I am a UK citizen.
I am considering a backup plan of going to Ireland with my non EU-spouse in case of refusal of entry clearance to the UK later this month.

It looks like she doesn't need entry clearance (she needs no visa to visit) to go to Ireland if we are going for less than 90 days and that once there can change our minds and register for longer.

Is this correct or am I being too hopeful?

Thanks

I wonder which country she is from that she does not need a visa for Ireland but needs it to enter UK...

Clearly you're unaware then, that the requirements for settlement in the UK are *different* than the requirements for settlement in Ireland if a spouse of a UK citizen. One is under UK immigration law and one is under EEA family permit.

Hi

I would try posting the same messages on our UK board for a swift response from a Workpermit.com UK consultant
