Marcis Member Member # 4 | Posted January 24, 2002 02:03 PM Hi, Once you have found an Italian company willing to employ you, you will have to apply for an Italian work permit (permesso di lavoro). It may take approximately 1-3 months for the authorization to be approved, depending on the region where you are applying. Then, after the Italian Labour Office has issued your work permit, your potential employer will have to submit to the police the request for a 'nulla ostra', which is a public safety measure confirming that you have no criminal record. Once you have the work permit and the 'null ostra', you can apply for an employment visa (permesso di soggiorno per motivi di lavoro) at an Italian consulate in your country. You may also contact us at italy@workpermit.com for more information. Best of luck with your jobsearch in Italy! Marcis Gobins -------------------- Marcis Gobins, Consultant |
