Marcis Member Member # 4 | Posted March 25, 2002 10:45 AM Hi Tana, As a Canadian Citizen, you may travel to Germany visa-free and live there up to three months. During this time, you might look for a job. If you find a prospective employer who is willing to offer you a preliminary contract, you could apply for a German work permit. But please be advised that a work permit application can only be made with a written job offer / preliminary employment contract. Furthermore, the employment office in Germany will examine whether or not it is possible to fill the position that you apply for with a German before granting your work permit. After you would have found a prospective employer in Germany, feel free to contact us if you wish to be assisted in your German work permit application.
