Hi

Does anyone know what the current laws are regarding granting German residency to a foreigner(South African) based on a same sex relationship with a German? Do we stand a chance?

Thanks!

According to http://www.germanembassyottawa.org/cala/sasexpa.htm , the German law gives the
“Right of a foreign partner to join partner in Germany and the right of foreign partners to naturalisation.”

Your best bet is to contact your nearest German embassy/consulate and the German Gay & Lesbian Association and they can guide you further: http://www.lsvd.de .
