| Marcis Member Member # 4 | Posted June 19, 2002 02:20 PM Hi, 5 years + 1 day, I think. A German Green Card may be valid/extendable for up to 5 years. However, once that period is over, you may apply for another German work permit, alas not through the German Green Card scheme, but it's still possible. What's most important is that you need a prospective German employer who is willing to 'sponsor' your German work permit application. Hope this helps!
