as far as i know normally u dont just get fired in a day or so, I think there is normally a six months period from the day u get a notice to leave the company. Why dont u try to search a job there in germany and what are your expertise???????? BTW
Secondly as far as I know you can remain in germany for sometime even after you loose your job & also can claim for some financial benefits not sure though may be someelse in here can shed more light on that .

It would be your bad luck if you fired, try to get another job soon ,because may be Jan-2004 IT professionals are being permanent by Govt but not sure just idea.

Hi nobody , There is mistake while writing of jan-2003 rather jan-2004.Although i havn't any link to tell you but it is hope on jan-2003 Germany will start PR for IT professional on point bases or by any other form because law has been passed on march and Green Card holders were waiting for Election and after SPD there is chance of 80% but there is still not any news .............

But law states that the point system will not be even considered before 2010.

You can take a look at the official English version of the new law : http://www.bafl.de/bafl/template/englisch/migration/anlagen/zuwanderungsgesetz_englisch_neu.pdf
