Hi Richard

As you may already know, in order to migrate to New Zealand under the
General Skills Category, you must pass the points test. The current
benchmark for passing is 24 points. Generally, an applicant is granted
points for qualifications (must score a minimum of 10 points, maximum
is 14 points), work experience (1 point for every 2 years work experience,
maximum 10 points), an employment offer (5 points if applicable), your age
(maximum 10 points) and for settlement factors (maximum 7 points), which
include spouse's qualifications, settlement funds, New Zealand work
experience and family sponsorship.

Applicants must hold a minimum qualification of a degree, diploma or
trade certificate of a minimum three years duration to be eligible to
apply. Applicants must also have at least two years work experience
in a field relevant to their qualifications before applying. Their work
experience must also be relevant to the qualification for which they
are claiming points. Furthermore, applicants must submit their visa
application to the New Zealand Embassy or High Commission before
he or she turns 56 years of age.

Please be advised that if you are interested in an initial assessment on
immigration to NZ, you should complete our Immigration Appraisal Form
available on our website at http://www.workpermit.co.uk/new_zealand/employee6.htm

If you have a CV on hand it may be more convenient for you to provide much of
the information in CV format (in Rich Text (*.rtf) or Plain Text (*.txt) Format,
please) and send this to me directly in addition to filling out the on-line form.
As soon as we receive the above-mentioned details, you will be provided a complete
initial assessment on your ability to migrate to NZ.

I hope this has been helpful and I look forward to your response.

All the best.

Elfa
