How much time would it take to get the residency papers ... then the immigration visa ... and after that apply for australian citizenship ...

In brief , I would like to study 1 year in australia then apply for citizenship , will it take me 2 to 3 years ?

HI again

It would probably take at least 15 to 18 months to get permanent residency and then you must wait two years before you can apply for citizenship (i.e. you must be living in Australia for at least two years as a permanent resident before applying). So yes, it might take at least three or four years to achieve your goal of becoming a citizen.

Hope this helps!
