I hold a Master’s degree, which was preceded by a Bachelor’s degree, from University of Mumbai in India. My qualification is listed in "List of Recognised Qualifictions" as issued by NZIS. Also I intend to claim 12 points total for my qualifications. Then whether still I shall need to submit my qualifications for assessment by the NZQA. Pls reply. sachdev19@hotmail.com

Hi

If both your Bachelor's and Master's degrees were awarded by the University of Mumbai (or by a University on the LORQ) then you will NOT need to submit your qualifications for an NZQA assessment. Depending on the length of your Master's degree course, however, you may only be granted 11 points for your qualifications. If any of the qualifications for which you will be claiming points were not awarded by a University on the LORQ, then you will need to take the NZQA skills assessment.

Hope this clarifies matters!

Regards,

Elfa
