i have seen that accounting professionals are in the general skilled shortage category under NZ immigration policy. I am a Cost Accountant from the Institute of Works & Cost Accountants of India. How does my qualification rated under NZ immigration policy.

I have gone thru the point system for immigration and believe that i should fairly meet the pass marks. Now how fair and dependable are the NZ placement agencies.

How much time does it take for the immigration formalities to complete.

Hi Anind

1. If you hold a three-year degree in Accounting, then you should be able to score 10 points for your qualification

2. I am not sure how fair and dependable NZ placement agencies are, but I would advise you to be somewhat careful

3. It really depends on the intricacies of your case and where you apply as to how long the process takes. It can vary from as much as four months to two years!

Hope this helps,

Elfa
