But I understand that my total points is 22, and the requirement is going to be 25 by JAN 2002. Also I am told that I wil have to apply for a Work Permit instead ( valid for 6 months ) during which I have to land a permanent job and then get same converted to PR. Now my query is "do I apply for a PR itself or a work permit(WP). Does the NZ High commission automatically give u a WP ( even if u apply for a PR) if u fall short by less than 5 points" This is a slight confusion for me. By the way, I am in INDIA, and am applying to the NZ high commission in N. Delhi I would appreciate assistance from anyone who has been thru the same previously... -------------------- Brgds Rajesh
