I'm applying for PR to Oz.

Any Indian (any Calcuttan...???) got any idea how long does it take to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) in India.

I'm currently in Calcutta. Over and above if someone could
outline the process of PCC with time frame it would be much
appreciated.

It is a straight forward method. You have to call in the local police station in your area and furnish all your details. They might get finger prints to make sure you do not have any offence.

Please bear in mind the process will work fast if the officials are treated properly. I hope you get my point. It is the usual method in India.

good luck

Although I am not Indian, I have had many Indian clients and I understand that obtaining a police clearance certificate is only a one-day process.

hope this helps!
