ams Junior Member Member # 979 | Posted January 28, 2002 08:13 AM I have sent my RPL application thru DHL on 24-12-2001. ACS received it on 27-12-2001 (tracked thru DHL package tracking system). I understand that usual time frame for assessment is 6 weeks which makes 2nd week of Feb 2002. However I have not heard anything from them as yet not even an acknowledgement of receipt. Is this normal? Should I have received the assessment by now? Looking forward to inputs. Ams |
balu Member Member # 1018 | Posted January 29, 2002 01:30 PM hi boss, I got my RPL assesment within one month. They just took 20 days to asses. However you should not make any follow up with ACS |
Elfa Member Member # 5 | Posted January 29, 2002 05:02 PM Hi AMS Thanks for your e-mail. I would allow 6 weeks for processing (it has not even been 5 weeks) and do not contact the ACS to check on the status of the application. They usually do not confirm receipt. At this point, no news is good news. THey will contact you if they need further documentation or information from your end. They may be checking up your references which can take time if there are many or if they are from any number of countries. I think with the Christmas holiday there may also be a slight delay so if you don't hear anything by the end of February I would only contact them. Good luck!
