Online Submission of Naturalization application

I have submitted my application for naturalisation online on 9th June 2020 and got the payment confirmation with advice that application has been submitted also got the access to UKVCAS on 9th June 2020. I have downloaded the application form which clearly indicates the time and date of application submission. I was in the UK on the same day exactly five years before. However, I haven't received any confirmation mail from the home office that they have received my application. One of my friends submitted application exactly the same time and he got the mail from the home office that application has been received and under consideration and may take up to six months. I am extremely surprised that why I didn't receive the same message. What date exactly home office consider for this same day five year back rule will it be date of submissions and date HO received the application in their system. I was not in the UK on 13 June 2020. Please advise. Thanks.

Date of online submission and payment is the date of application that is considered.

I'm on the same boat.. I've applied yesterday and didn't get any acknowledgement Email. All I got is just the Payment receipt. And Email for access the UKVCAS.

Same here submitted application on 21st of May and still nothing except payment confirmation as worded below.

“This email confirms the amount paid and the application's reference number. We cannot provide an invoice, but this email provides confirmation that we have received your payment and the application has been submitted.”

This happen to my wife as well. I advice you to wait for 48 hours and if not received anything, send an email and ask for your case ID and acknowledgement of your application.

I have sent the mail and received a standard auto-reply which is not relevant to my query. It was a general message for COVID 19 delays.

I got the automated email as well. Nevertheless, I made an application 20 days ago and still no acknowledgement!!

Thank you for your email.

It is taking longer than usual to process applications because of coronavirus (COVID-19). This will not affect the decision. Extra time will be allowed to enrol biometrics, provide additional information and arrange a citizenship ceremony. Do not apply by post if you’ll need your documents back by a specific date.

You will get a reply likely within 5 working days. They are pretty quick. They will find your case ID and send it to you. Hope you both get your response soon.

You will get a reply likely within 5 working days. They are pretty quick. They will find your case ID and send it to you. Hope you both get your response soon.

I've got my acknowledgement mail today. And this is an automated response confirming the receipt of my application along with CASE ID. I got it after 2 days.

Hopefully you get it soon as well.

Hey, Which email did it come from ? Bit strange I have submitted my application over 20 days ago and still nothing. Looks like someone is now assigned to your case which is a good sign. Good luck !!

Thanks. It does say it is an automated Email, Means everyone should get it but unfortunately a few people are not getting it. I think they don't wait for your Biometric to start working on the case. Once you submit the application they start working on it and make provisional decision like if they need any kinda proof or documents.
Your case would be in process and hopefully it will be positive. Good luck to everyone.

Glad that you have received it. Keep you case ID for future reference if needed
