I am Filipina living in UK with my British husband. He has just adopted my children from my previous marriage. This adoption took place in a UK court. We now have their new UK Birth Certificates and their old Philippine birth certificates have been retain by the court.
We are trying to apply for UK Passports but Home Office denying saying that we need to 'align' the names in the Philippine passport to the name applied for in the UK passport.
- Do the children not lose philpiine citizeship once they become british?
