Visa requirements for UK settled person

Post by teartwo » Wed Mar 30, 2011 7:04 am

On a Republic Of China passport that includes the UK Indefinite Leave To Remain stamp, I wanted to know what countries one can visit without having to apply for a Visa.

In particular, is there unlimited freedom within Europe?

Is there a site that has a clear list of such?

Thanks!

Your ILR affects you in the UK only. It does not change your rights one iota in any other country, not even in the EU. You still have a non-EU passport and unless and until you get naturalized in the UK that will not change.

Many thanks for the info.

That's to let you live in the UK permanently, and not for a free pass to permanent residency for the whole world!

I think Republic of China's passport allows you to enter many countries visa free, including most of European countries. Did you mean PRC instead of Taiwan?

Kindly desist from digging up topics from 2011 (this one) and 2013 (the other one you tagged onto).

The members are no longer active and digging up very old topics clutters the current queries on the forum
