Parent visa query

Hi All
Recently i moved to UK along with my daughter on work permit around 10 days ago. i have 2 years work permit. my daughter is 17+ yrs and 8 months old and British citizen. she got citizenship in 2011 and then we moved to another country. at that time i had ILR. now we both are back in UK.
can i apply for parent visa on her behalf in next few days? or is there any residency requirement like minimum stay for her?

i tried earlier returning resident visa but it was rejected because i could not show sufficient ties to UK. i do not have house or asset in UK.

Where is the other parent and what is the other parents uk immigration status?

we had divorce 6 years ago and her mother is british citizen and lives in uk.my daughter is with me since we separated. we are only 2 in family.

That will make your visa application as a parent more complicated.

(a) Your daughter is almost an adult, and,
(b) She already has a parent legally resident in the UK who can look after her for the few months from now till her 18th birthday.

Do you have legal custody of your daughter granted by a court?

i do not have legal custody but she is living with me since myself and my wife seperated. my wife is not interested to take her responsibility.i am only responsible for her for last 8 years.
