Passport application - section 4/8 ???

Post by Tref123 » Wed Jun 04, 2014 10:36 am

Hi All

I will be having my citizenship ceremony on Friday (naturalisation) and would like to apply for my UK passport soon after.

However I have been looking at the passport form, specifically section 4. Both my parents were born outside the UK and the form therefore asks for the full name, town, country of birth and date of marriage of all my grandparents to be filled in section 8.

I have some of these details, but not all.

Will it be ok to only add the details I have?

Thanks

You don't need to include your grandparents details if a naturalised British Citizen.

Only provide the details for your parents. If some details are not know, just write 'not known' if marriage date is not know for example.
