passport

Post by gbhsmp » Sun May 04, 2014 9:02 am

Hi,

Applying for naturalisation. Lost passport just before getting ILR. Full scanned copy of passport before the day of loss.
Is it enough to printout the scanned copy of the lost passport or is it necessary to keep 5yr bills etc.,

Please give me some help on the docs in this case. If someone has done this before please can you give me the information on how to document my entry/exit ? SAR report ... is it absolutely necessary ?

Thanks

thanks

I believe that the printed copy will not be accepted by NCS or HO for that matter.
I am sometimes wrong.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes
I have P60 for last 5 years
Also I have a letter from my current employer (for whome I have worked for 6 years) that I have been employed with them continuously for last 6 years.

Will these be sufficient ?
I am just worried about these

1. should I keep all my 5 year bank statements ?
2. should I need to get SAR report ?

The from AN says
• Your passports OR
• Letters from employers, educational establishments or other Government Departments indicating presence in UK

I usually destroy most of the bills and statements since it clutters me a lot. I do repent for it now but just not to slow down the application process, what is the best way to do this ?

Thanks

I am just worried about these

1. should I keep all my 5 year bank statements ? No, they won't even look at them as it is too much
2. should I need to get SAR report ? Not necessary, they have all the information about you on their system and a SAR report is only going to give you a copy of what they have. Take the photocopy of your lost passport with to NCS and explain, maybe they will take it.

The from AN says
• Your passports OR
• Letters from employers, educational establishments or other Government Departments indicating presence in UK Letter from your current employer is fine especially as you have worked for them for 6 years

You don't need bills and statements. Your P60s are sufficient. Unlike ILR applications, for naturalisation they don't need to see all your documents such as these.
