Hi there,
In the light of recent changes made to immigration rules, I am writing to get some clarification on applying for an "extension" of my spouse's visa, which was originally granted under "PBS Dependent (Tier 2)" and due to expire on 23 April 2021.
Main applicant being my self has now been granted ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) on PBS i.e. 5 year route.
I have also read the guidance on the link for dependents;
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... rs-1-2-4-5
My questions needing clarifications are as follows;
i) Is the above guidance still the most relevant and should this be followed?
ii) Can the spouse still apply to extend the visa under main applicants last granted leave, which was "Tier 2 General (Leave to Remain) - PBS"?
iii) Or, due to changes in immigration rules, is the spouse now required to apply ONLY under the family visas as an ILR dependent?
The current guidance with so many new rules is quite confusing and hard to follow.
If you could please respond to 3 general queries above that would be much appreciated.
