Permanent Visa for parents

Post by ukcitizen123 » Wed Mar 08, 2023 9:28 pm

Hi,

I am British citizen and want to bring my old widow mother from India to UK to live with me permanently. She is retired, on pension, she has house in her name. My two brothers also live with my mother in same house.

If there is a requirement to prove that there is no one to look after her in India then it will be hard for me because my brothers are there.

What can I do?

Thank you.

The most difficult visa to get and based on what you have stated, she has no chance of getting a visa to live in the uk. This visa route has a very very low success rate and the few who have succeeded, have mostly done so through very very expensive appeals etc

Yes you have to prove she needs help with basic stuff like cooking, dressing, bathing etc and that the care is not available or affordable there.

A failed/refused adult dependent relative visa also closest the door on any future visitor visas as the intention to settle in the uk would have been declared.
