Post-study work visa and curtailment of visa

Hi all, I am uk and my university has made me graduate one year before and I have opt out of the one year industrial placement. Now my visa is about to over at the end of January 2022, after that my curtailed period starts lasting for 60 days, can I apply for psw in the curtailed period. Or I have to apply before January 2022. Please help me with this question.

What exactly do you mean by this? When your visa expires, that is it, it ends. There is no 'curtailment period of 60 days' after your visa expires.

Actually my university international student guidance has told me that I have to apply for visa till 31 january after that they will give 60 day curtail period to leave the UK. So how I can check when my visa will be expired ? As I have not got updated BRP till now. Please let me know,

What date does your current student visa expire?

If your visa expires at the end of January, then that is the date you either have to make an application for a visa you qualify for or the date by which you have to leave the UK.

A visa that has expired cannot be curtailed as there is nothing to curtail so for you, there is not '60 day curtailment' period'.

Your university (if this is the case) or yourself, don't seem to understand what curtailing a visa actually means.
