Hi,

I have not heard back anything ever since I applied. I didn't even bother calling anywhere yet. I will do that once 6 months is up.
I can see that we are affected by something, as I have friends who also applied without a formal PR within last 2 years and got their approval within 2 months with no problems.

Having said that, my application should be pretty much straight forward. I had applied for my WRS in July 2007 and have updated it each time I changed job for the first 18 months. This mean I have been exercising treaty rights for over 7 years now.

How about you?

Hello everyone. My stats:

Eligibility Criteria: 6 Years (EEA National Exercising EC Treaty Rights)
Current Nationality: French
Language Criteria Met: Life in UK + Cambridge FCE (First Certificate in English, B2)
Method of Application: NCS (Bedford)
Date of Application: 15th July 2014
Date of Receipt by Home Office: 31st July 2014
Date of Debit of Fees: Debit Card (early August 2014)
Fee Paid: £906
Date of Receipt of Acknowledgement: 4th August 2014 (Dated 31st July 2014)
Date of Receipt of Approval: Waiting
Date of Ceremony: Waiting

Four months passed, no news. Pretty annoying when there is not much you can do about it. Keep waiting, you say? I am. But, still, it's not fair that applications that were received months after me got processed and approved while we KEEP WAITING!

Congratulations on your approval, can I ask you, on what grounds did you apply, only asking because, like me, there is a large number of eea applications on hold.

Kind regards,

Hi @justwit

I don't know what is different, but something definitely is!! There are ppl form February still waiting, and none wants to tell us why it takes so long?? Ridicules, we pay for service £906 and this is the worst experience with HO I ever had!! And I feel discriminated!!

Hi,

applied at the end of July 2014 for British citizenship using NCS Kingston. I am EEA having PR confirmation. Followed up with MP
about application status. Just received a standardized response.

Thank you for your email correspondence of xxx with enclosures on behalf of yyy, about his outstanding application for naturalisation as a British citizen and zzz.

Our record for aaa shows that he submitted his application on bbb and that it is currently outstanding. Our agreed level of service for citizenship applications is that we will aim to conclude them within six months. More information is available online at our UK Government website at the following address:

http://www.gov.uk/becoming-a-british-ci ... ve-applied.

If we need any further information from fff in order to progress his application, we will request it from his legal representatives, who our record shows to be the ccc.

Otherwise, ddd hear from us about a decision on his application, once we are in a position to issue it. According to our agreed level of service, this should be around the end of eee 2015.

In the meantime, our advice to all applicants is not to make any plans to travel prior to the conclusion of any outstanding applications.
