Nearly two weeks since the clearance of fees but no acknowledgement letter yet!

yay!! Mine arrived today. i was getting rather jealous of other applications coming through. I called the HO today just to get some information on the process. I wanted to know exactly what steps they take when processing an application. I told him that I wasn't calling for an update as I know its only been just over a month. The guy I spoke to was very nice and asked for my ref number. He said that a decision had been made and that the letter was posted on Friday. I got the brown envelope in the post shortly after speaking to him

Eligibility criteria: spouse of bc + 3 weeks ilr
Language criteria met: PBS printout, original non uk degree certs
Current nationality: South African
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: Wolverhampton
Date of application: 07/11/14
Payment method: debit card
Date of receipt by UKBA: 10/11/14 (according to NCS)

I noticed that HO has been quite fast in decision making for those that are BC Spouse or those who have been on ILR for a really long time. Apparently, less checks needed.

My fees was deducted on 29th Nov. So, I called today just to check how the process was going and considering I was going to go away on holiday asked for an update. The guy was a bit too rude, but answered anyway and told that it was still in the middle of process. So, not sure if I will get a decision or approval before I go on holiday this X-mas. Still keeping fingers crossed. If not then hopefully by the time I am back.

I called HO today to know the status as I've some travel plan, they said that decision has made on 12th Nov.
So waiting for letter .
I'm under 5 years Tier 1+ 1 ILR, Applied with discretion as I have more than 90 days absence in final year.
