Every council has their own process.

Mine was Glasgow and I was told I should expect an invitation letter which never arrived. I phoned them and I was told not to worry about it as I am still on the list for ceremony and I can just turn up. I turned up only to find out that I was not on the list!

Registrar was very helpful and she went and looked for my certificate. Once it was found, she allowed me to attend the ceremony even though I wasn't on the list.

That's my experience anyway.

I applied in the first week of December and still am waiting.
It's quite frustrating this long wait.

I did call last week and the ho said it's still under consideration.
Inshallah/ God willing hope to get a positive result soon.

My guess could be that maybe all people who applied in the 1st week of December were assigned to the same caseworker who maybe went on holiday or maybe he/she is a stricter case worker or it may just happen that all our cases were more complicated then we thought.

My guess is as good as any so don't take my word for it.

I applied with PR card, after 12 months of PR issue date. No convictions, straight forward case.
I paid by Credit card.
May be my case worker is the laziest one. :)

No one knows which criteria HO use to decided the applications,
my friend from Pakistan got his approval in 3 weeks.

Hi LW1983
Well if you will apply through NCS you don't need to send original documents but if you decided to send with original then yes you will get your all documents back once your application is decided.

Thanks
